Note: I’ve changed the Reading assignment (9-10) a little around this plan:
Monday (Feb 21, in 3310CS) – We’ll discuss the background for the advanced motion papers that you should have looked at for today’s reading. For this class, please have given 2 papers (one from group 1 and one from group 2) at least a quick read. At this point, rather than trying to understand them in depth, try to get what the basic idea is, and identify stumbling blocks to understanding the paper (terms, techniques and other background that you don’t understand). We’ll try to go over this in class.
Before class (really – like before 7:30am), make sure you’ve posted any questions, terms you need explained, … as well as letting us know which papers you’ve looked at. If you haven’t posted, we’ll assume you understand the papers and ask you to explain them to us!
Wednesday (Feb 23, in 3310CS) – We’ll discuss the papers more in depth. For this class, you should have posted comments discussing the papers (hopefully, after Monday, it will be easier to understand them).
Friday (Feb 25 – no meeting) – We won’t have class, but we’ll have a project check in. The exact form of this is still being determined. But, you’ll be expected to show off your infrastructure, as well as give some ideas as to what you want to do for the second phase.
