Multiple Word Metrics in Regional Matrix

This example came from user study March, 2022. It will demonstrate how different word metrics to generate the regional words can reveal different aspects of a region.

Upon selecting the region categorized by salient words “plan”, “problem” and “path” in the recent robotics (2011 - now) dataset, we can efficiently tell that papers in this region mainly work on path planning problems.

Switching to another word metric “uniqueness” to see that the words that appear uniquely in this region but not so much in other regions, we can find some underlying algorithms that papers in this region use to solve the path planning problems such as travelling “salesmen” and “rrt”.
