The Week in Vis: Week 09 (Oct 31-Nov 4): Interaction
This week, we will turn our attention to interaction (at least in terms of the course content). We are also beginning the first phase of the “time usage survey project” (less a project than a series of design exercises).
- The Week in Vis: Week 09 (Oct 31-Nov 4): Interaction
- Class: Lecture: Interaction (Mon, Oct 31)
- Class: ICE: ATUS Questions (Wed, Nov 2)
- Readings 09: Interaction
- Design Exercise 7: Exploratory Data Analysis with the ATUS data (Tue, Nov 1)
- Online Discussion 09 (due Tue, Nov 1)
- Seek and Find 09 (due Fri, Nov 4)
- End of Week Survey 09 (due Fri, Nov 4)
- Design Exercise 8: Telling Stories from the ATUS data set (Tue, Nov 8)
Note that the Tuesday deadline for Design Exercise 7: Exploratory Data Analysis with the ATUS data is strict. We need to get your responses Tuesday night so we can discuss them in class on Wednesday. (I have no idea how we will turn things around that fast, but that Keaton and my problem). Looking ahead, making draft visualizations for Design Exercise 8: Telling Stories from the ATUS data set is a big assignment. And it also has a tight deadline, since we need to turn them around for peer critiques.
