Friday Sep 9: Javascript Jam Session

by Mike Gleicher on September 4, 2011

On Friday, September 9th, during class time (2:30-3:45), we’ll have a “Javascript Jam Session” in one of the new Windows labs in CS (either 1358 or 1366).

This will be an optional tutorial: we have some tutorial materials prepared for people to work through, with the idea of having a bunch of people all working along side one another, helping each other figure things out.

The goal will be to give people enough of a Javascript background that they can get started on Project 1. (Project 1 will be announced before Sept 9th, but we will not announce project groups before this tutorial session).

If you want help getting started with Javascript and HTML5 Canvases, want to review the basics that you already know, or are a Javascript wizard and want to help your classmates (and the instructors!), you should come.

By working together, we can help each other get started. It will also be an opportunity to get to know more of your classmates.

This tutorial session is optional.
