Here is some information about the final exam.

This posting is a clarification and addendum to the Workbook 7 assignment. It does not change the assignment or add new requirements. If there is an unintended discrepency between this and the actual workbook, the workbook should be considered as the official text.

The goal of the posting is to clarify the purpose, requirements, and criteria for success of the Graphics Town assignment.

The final workbook will require you to submit a video. This posting will give you some ideas on the mechanics of how to do so: how to record it, upload it, and submit it.

I am trying to make this class “text-book free”. There is no required textbook. The “lectures”, workbooks, and online should be enough for you to learn the material.

However, sometimes a textbook is useful. So, I’ll make a recommendation (the textbooks we’ve used in the past), explain how to access them through the library, and give you some thoughts on how to use them.

A clarification on the late policy for workbooks.

Hello! And Welcome to CS559 for the Spring of 2026!

Once class begins, I will make announcements via Canvas. Do not expect much class email. However, since Canvas isn’t ready, I’ll use email today.

As you are hopefully aware, CS559 will be taught in an online format for the Spring of 2026. I am working to re-design the class as a true online experience.
