Portfolio 2 Feedback
We are posting P2 “Grades” as Canvas comments. Note that this takes into account what you had turned in by the “deadline”, as well as other things that we saw later. It is all noted. You will get a note in the “Canvas Comment” for Grading Feedback. Alex and I both assessed things independently, and ended up agreeing on everything.
There were some really outstanding portfolios.
Please do not respond to Canvas Comments. If you want to discuss the feedback, send a note on Piazza or come to office hour.
An explanation of the “grading” is at Grading Update (Portfolio Grades)
I believe in the “not yet an A” philosophy for grading, however, in the setting of the class it is impractical/counter productive. We need to get through a lot of material in a short amount of time. Taking time to iterate on past assignments takes time away from the next thing.
We adjusted our expectations because of the short time frame. Much of this portfolio was pieces from prior assignments.
If you want to “resubmit” your portfolio you may. However:
- This cannot come at the expense of the upcoming assignments. We will consider the Shader workbook assignments (survey and draft) and the next Portfolio.
- You need to do it before Monday, April 7th. And you must tell us (via a private message to Alex and I - “course staff”) on Piazza.
- For final grading, we will consider things holistically. If you did an awesome assignment, but it was late and came at the expense of other things, we will consider that.
