Exams

There will be 2 exams, given in person. One will be given on Wednesday evening during the semester, one will be given in the official University Final Examination time slot.

This class will have 2 exams, weighted equally.

  • The exams will be given in person, but you can submit an Exam Request to take the exams on Canvas using Honorlock.
  • The course staff will not answer questions during the exams: if you think a question is incorrect or unclear, please briefly explain the problem in the last question.
  • You do not have to provide a reason to request an online exam, but if any technical difficulty with Canvas or Honorlock occurs during the exam, you must come to the in person exam to complete the exam or you will receive a grade of 0 for the exam.
  • You may not collaborate with others. You may not communicate with other students in class during the exams.
  • The exam is “open note”, you can bring any number of pages of notes on paper during the exam.
  • If you have McBurney accommodations, please arrange the accommodations with the instructor 1 week before the exams. You can use Exam Request too.

The dates of the exams are:

  • Exam 1: Wednesday, March 6th, 5:45 - 7:15 pm, Social Sciences Bldg Room 6210 (Code: 2024-AFDNNJ).
  • Exam 2: Wednesday, May 8th, 12:25 - 2:25 pm, Microbial Sciences Room 1220.

The first exam will cover the topics from the first 6 weeks of class (up to, and including curves, but not 3D). The second exam covers the material after curves. However, the material is cumulative (the concepts we learn about in 2D are built upon in 3D).
