Here are a few cool examples from student assignments for Workbook 4.
Note: we cannot post all cool assignments! What we post is a random selection of good assignments - not necessarily the best.
Box 04-05-01 - Ant or Spider Boids
Student: Changlin Hu (Please watch the recording see more details.)
Student: Ella Santoro (Click to create boid flocking!)
Student: Tony Adriansen (Boids exhibit cohesion, separation, alignment, mouse follow, and alpha (blue boid) chase behavior. Increasing ant visual size also depicts the realistic leg movement with two hinge points per leg. Ant collisions are turned off by default, but can be turned on. Buttons are available to easily visualize each component of boid behavior, and with speed slowed and other factors reduced, the random movement of boids is visible. Mouse chasing weight is off by default, but turning it up causes boids to be influenced by mouse position. Boids also chase blue alpha boids who are not influenced by other boids themselves.)
Student: Anonymous (Made some pretty cool looking ants. They flash green when they touch another ant and then they flash red when touching a wall.)
Student: Tacoin (John Wang) (lalala.)
