The Week in Vis: Week 13

It’s Thanksgiving week - which makes for an unusual week, since Thursday and Friday are holidays. And the day before Thanksgiving always feels a little different (we will have class). We’ll celebrate by having something unusual. And thinking about how the remaining time unfolds…

This week:

Remainders from last Friday (11/22): Discussion 12, Seek and Find 12, DE11&DE12: 4 Questions, 5 Visualizations

The big thing is that Design Exercise 12 is due on Monday (well, technically it was due last week as Design Exercise 12: Final Designs (due Fri, Nov 22), but there was a no-cost extension until Monday, November 25). As part of the Design Exercise, everyone should do Class Survey 12: Design Challenge 2 Anonymous Post-Mortem.

The other big thing is that we’ll have our Design School Exercises. This will be the lecture on Monday, Readings 13: Graphic Design, and two parts of a design exercise due next week - Design Exercise 13A: Design School Good Example (due Wed, Dec 04) and Design Exercise 13B: Design School Bad Example Re-Design (due Wed, Dec 04). These are kindof like seek-and-finds, so we won’t have a seek and find this week.

And since it’s a short week, we won’t have a discussion or a content survey.

In fact, since we’re at the end of the semester, we’re pretty much done with a lot of things. To give you some coming attractions (warning - these assignments are not completely set yet).
